Wasim Akram wife died

Huma Akram, the wife of former Pakistan captain Wasim Akram died on Sunday. According to reports from Press Trust of India, Huma Akram died at a hospital in Chennai. The wife of Pakistani legendary cricket star was taken to a hospital in Chennai after she suffered multiple organ failure. At the time of her death, Huma Akram was 42 years old. According to reports, on Oct 20, she was admitted at a hospital in Chennai in an emergency situation. The air ambulance carrying Huma had stopped in Chennai after her condition worsened. The air ambulance was going to Singapore from Lahore.
The chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board Ijaz Butt and Wasim Bari, the chief operating officer expressed the cricket board’s grief on Huma Akram’s death. A statement was released by PCB chairman Ijaz Butt in which he said:
“We are with Wasim and his family at this hour of need and pray to God to give them strength to bear this great and irreparable loss,”
The statement also said:
“All the management of PCB and fellow cricketers have also extended their condolences and prayed eternal peace for the departed soul.”
In his splendid cricketing career of 17 years, Wasim Akram played 104 test matches and took 414 wickets. He was the first bowler to take 500 wickets in one-day internationals. He played 368 ODIs and took 502 wickets. He retired from international cricket in 2002.
