Aleks Krotoski


Aleks Krotoski is a highly respected, publicly engaged academic and award-winning journalist who writes about and studies technology and interactivity. In addition to writing a column for The Guardian's Technology section and presenting the Guardian's award-winning weekly technology podcast, she blogs on Guardian Unlimited and is currently completing a PhD in Social Psychology at the University of Surrey, examining the social networks of cyberspace, due to be complete in August 2009.

Aleks is due to present BBC2's forthcoming Digital Revolution (working title), a 4-part cross-platform series about the social history of the Internet, scheduled to air at 9pm w/c 21 January 2010.

Aleks has a background in television presenting and broadcasting, working as a presenter for five years on Channel 4 programmes Bits (8 series: 4Later and T4) and Thumb Bandits (2 series; Friday nights, 11pm). She presented Channel 5's Gadget Show for two series. Since leaving full-time television, Aleks has made regular appearances on Richard and Judy, BBC's Click and Sky News. She is a technology reporter for BBC Radio 4's Women's Hour and has appeared on Radio 4's Today Show and others. Source guardian.co.uk
