Employees Confident Paycheck Is Accurate

SAN ANTONIO, TX -- (Marketwire) -- 10/02/09 -- In a volatile economy, employees say they can still count on their paycheck. According to a recent survey conducted by the American Payroll Association (APA), 88 percent of employees believe their paycheck is correct each payday.

"Paycheck calculation is a very challenging task," said Dan Maddux, executive director of the APA. "The high percentage of employees satisfied with their paycheck confirms the great work by payroll professionals who calculate paychecks accurately and on time each pay period."

Increasingly complex tax laws and benefits packages make payroll an arduous task. In order to calculate paychecks accurately and avoid errors, payroll professionals must comply with constantly changing federal and state laws governing wages or face stiff financial penalties.

"Payroll is the largest controllable expense for most organizations," said Aron Ain, chief executive officer of Kronos Incorporated. "Paying employees accurately is a key factor in ensuring employee satisfaction and is critical to managing an organization's bottom line. Source dotnet.sys-con.com/
