Most wanted in FBI list


Semion Mogilevich is included in FBI most wanted list. He, Igor L’Vovich Fisherman, and Anatoli Tsoura are wanted for their participation in fraud in multi million dollars scheme. 63 year old Semion mogilevich was born on June 30, 1946. Due to his business acumen and degree in economics from Lviv University he earned a nickname of “The Brainy Don”
In the fraud the investors lost 150 million dollars. The fraud includes increasing stock values by preparing bogus financial statements and offering bribes to the accountants. The records lying with Securities and Exchange Commission officials were also bogus. The stocks of YBM Magnex International, Inc. (YBM), a public company incorporated in Canada, but headquartered in Newtown, Bucks County, Pennsylvania were used for committing frauds.
The fraud was unveiled by FBI on 13th may, 1998. FBI issued warrants against the frauds. FBI Special Agent Peter Kowenhoven said
“The FBI doesn’t have the jurisdiction to charge him with other crimes taking place solely in other countries, but open-source reporting shows him to be involved in weapons trafficking, contract murders, extortion, drug trafficking, and prostitution on an international scale.”
Osama Bin Laden is on the top of most wanted FBI list. Peter Kowenhoven said Mogilevich is a ruthless criminal. He further said
“Victims don’t mean anything to him, and what makes him so dangerous is that he operates without borders. Here’s a guy who managed to defraud investors out of millions without ever stepping foot in the Philadelphia area,”
