Week 8 college football rankings and polls

The week 8 college football AP poll is out and the rankings and polls have shifted around quite a bit in the top 10.  I can’t say I understand completely why some teams moved the way they did in the week 8 college football rankings but I guess that’s why I’m not a voter.
BoDog Sportsbook is the sponsor for our week 8 college football rankings and will have the odds up on all of the upcoming games.
Alabama took over the top spot in the week 8 college football rankings after easily dispatching of South Carolina (who dropped to #23) while Florida moves from the top spot to #2 after barely defeating Arkansas in a game they could have easily lost.
Texas remains at #3 in the week 8 college football rankings after beating #20 Oklahoma.  The Sooners somehow remain in the top 25 of the rankings (#25 to be exact) despite their 3-3 record.  With losses to every top-25 team they’ve faced and victories over Tulsa, Idaho State, and Baylor, I have no idea how Oklahoma still deserves a spot in the week 8 college football rankings.
USC moved up to #4 in the week 8 college football rankings after barely knocking off Notre Dame with a last second goal-line stand.  The Irish are officially out of the AP and likely both polls.
Cincinnati moves from #8 to #5 after knocking off a South Florida squad who was without their best offensive player.  The Bearcats’ only win against a top-25 team in the college football rankings was against that #24 South Florida team who was without their senior quarterback Matt Grothe while Boise State is also undefeated with a win over #12 Oregon.  How Cincinnati deserved to jump the now #6 Broncos I’ll never know.
Previous #4 Virginia Tech dropped to #15 while the team who beat them, the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, move up to #11.
Rounding out the top ten week 8 college football rankings are Iowa at #7, Miami FL at #8, LSU at #9, and TCU at #10.
