Linda Brown Stirs Up A Hurricane After Her Announcement At Burlington Store

lindabrownColumbus, Ohio, Oct. 15, (THAINDIAN NEWS) This was one of the most elaborate pranks to have been played on people in the recent times. From what has been made out from the sources, it appears that a woman had reportedly fooled a store full of customers who were shopping at one of the Burlington Coat Factory outlet in to believing that she is paying for their shopping spree and left them amidst a chaos and near riot situation. Police has since then placed a woman named Linda Brown under arrest after the incident that reportedly took place on Tuesday.
Reports on the incident seems to suggest that the woman was being driven around in a limousine that had been rented. It was while she was roaming thus that she had made a stop at the coat store. She had then entered the store and announced in front of room full of gathered customers that she had just won a lottery of $1.5 million and would be paying for any of the purchases being made by the people who were gathered there, that could amount to $500. According to Sgt. Michael Deakins, “Well, of course, people like to hear that. Apparently they were in line calling relatives who were not at the store and told them to come.”
Following the announcement, there was a mad scramble by the customers in the store. However, all revelries turned sour when they realized that they had been made a fool of. Angry and distraught, the customers had nearly ransacked the store. Seems like Brown’s gag had began from the time that she had rented a Hummer Limousine to escort her to the store.
