Police at home of Yale lab technician

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) - Although police in Connecticut say they don't expect to make an arrest today in connection with the killing of Yale graduate student Annie Le (lay), they're keeping watch on some of her co-workers.

Officers have descended in large numbers on the home of a Yale animal research technician.

They're not confirming that they are at the apartment complex in Middletown, about 20 miles from New Haven, as part of the investigation. But public records show that the technician lives in a first-floor apartment there. Neighbors said authorities in unmarked cars arrived yesterday afternoon.

Police earlier today denied reports that a possible suspect was in custody. A spokesman said they're "talking to a lot of people."

The Yale Daily News today quoted the school's president as telling students and teachers yesterday that police have narrowed the number of potential suspects to a very small pool, because security systems recorded who entered the building and when.
