By Ranjan Bhaduri, 4thOct 19, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Another Sci-fi movie hits the theaters on Nov 6, 2009. “The Fourth Kind” is the first major work of Joe Carnahan’s protege- Olantunde Osunsanmi. The movie has been re-enacted based on the footage of a documentary. Another U.S.P of the “The Fourth Kind” is that it includes some “never-before-seen” archival scenes. In “UFO-logy”, close encounters with the aliens are categorized. “The fourth kind” of encounter is when a human is abducted by a UFO or the occupants of the UFO. The same premise has been used by the “Universal” movie in choosing its name since the movie is based largely on alien abductions. The film has Milla Jocovich in the lead. The movie takes its “inspiration” from actual facts which are based in Nome, Alaska. There have been a number of unexplained disappearances in Nome which are said to be alien abductions. The movie shows archived footage of the abductions in Nome which have taken place over the last four decades. The lead character played by Milla is that of a psychotherapist. Milla’s character of Dr. Abigail Tyler is based on a real psychologist who interviews the persons that were supposedly abducted by the aliens. Dr. Abigail finds that all her interviewees undergo psychological attacks after seeing an owl at their windows. Dr Abigail becomes suspicious of Government involvement after hearing recorded voices speaking the oldest human language known to man-The Sumerian Language. Early September saw different sources trying to prove that the premise for this movie was false. There is also a strong belief that the harsh surroundings (Nome lies on the coast of Bering Sea) when coupled with alcohol could have led to the disappearances. Their are a number of sites and blogs which claim to uncover the real Dr. Tyler. Although according to sources they all came into existence the day the official trailer for the movie was released.
