Mortenson appearances shifted to Lewis and Clark

Because of continuing bad weather, the Greg Mortenson program, which was previously scheduled for the Alton Amphitheater, will be held at Lewis and Clark Community College’s Hathaway Hall at 5800 Godfrey Road in Godfrey, sponsors said this morning.
Mortenson will speak to Alton-area fourth-graders from 12:45 to 1:30 p.m.
At 1:50 p.m. doors will open to the general public for a 2:15 p.m. program that will include a proclamation by Alton Mayor Tom Hoechst, comments by Principia College President Jonathan Palmer, and a question-and-answer session with Greg Mortenson, which will be conducted by Principia College’s Academic Dean Scott Schneberger.
This event is free to the public.
